Monty – The Dog and His Final Mountain

In the summer of 2021, Carlos Fresco knew the time to say goodbye was near. Monty, his loyal labradoodle, had grown too weak to walk after a long and brave battle with leukemia.

For years, they had climbed Pen y Fan together — the highest peak in South Wales. On every journey, Monty had run with joy, his tail wagging as he bounded up the mountain.
