Rambo 6: New Blood

Movie Review : “Rambo 6: New Blood – The Legend Roars Back with Savage Fury!”
Rating: 8.5/10
John Rambo isn’t done bleeding yet! Rambo 6: New Blood (released October 3, 2025) picks up six years after Last Blood, with Sylvester Stallone’s grizzled Vietnam vet pulled from retirement on his Arizona ranch when a shadowy cartel—led by a ruthless ex-CIA operative (Jon Bernthal in a chilling turn)—kidnaps his long-lost granddaughter. Teaming up with a tech-savvy FBI agent (Scarlett Johansson channeling Black Widow vibes), Rambo unleashes hell from the U.S. border to the jungles of Central America. It’s a brutal, blood-soaked swan song that honors the franchise’s roots while injecting fresh adrenaline.
Director Jalmari Helander (Sisu) delivers non-stop visceral action: think bow-and-arrow ambushes in moonlit deserts, a chainsaw duel in a derelict factory, and a climactic monsoon raid that rivals the body count of Rambo III. Stallone, at 79, still commands the screen with raw intensity—his silent stares say more than dialogue ever could. Johansson adds sharp wit and gadgetry, creating a mentor-protégé dynamic that grounds the chaos. The script, penned by franchise vet David Morrell, weaves in poignant flashbacks to Rambo’s war-torn past, giving emotional weight to the mayhem.
Gore hounds will feast on the practical effects (minimal CGI keeps it authentic), and the score—remixing Jerry Goldsmith’s iconic theme with industrial metal riffs—pumps the pulse. Minor quibble: the mid-film exposition dump slows the pace, but it’s forgiven in this explosive return. If Last Blood was a elegy, New Blood is a defiant middle finger to time. Essential viewing for action fans—Rambo lives!
