Bryson, affectionately known as “Goosey,” is just 5 years old

Bryson, affectionately known as “Goosey,” is just 5 years old, and though his tiny body is nearing the end of a brutal battle with neuroblastoma, his spirit remains unshaken. Despite the constant pain, Bryson still finds joy in the simple things—a giggle over cartoons, his love for quesadillas, and the playful teasing of his brother, just to hear him laugh.
For his family, every smile, every hug, every shared moment is cherished beyond words. In the face of such an unfair and devastating disease, they hold on to these fleeting memories, knowing that each one is a gift—no matter how brief.
But the truth is, no child should have to fight for their life like Bryson has. Childhood cancer is a cruel, unthinkable reality, and kids like Bryson deserve so much more than the meager 4% of funding that goes toward cancer research for children. They deserve better treatments, better options, and, most importantly, more time. More time to laugh, to tease, to eat quesadillas with joy, and to grow up surrounded by the love of their family.
As we look at Bryson’s smile, even in the midst of his battle, we are reminded that these children are not statistics—they are kids with dreams, with families, and with stories that deserve to be told. They deserve our attention, our support, and our action.
The fight against childhood cancer is one we must all join, because every child, like Bryson, deserves more than just a small percentage of funding—they deserve the world.
