In Loving Memory of Dr. Jane Goodall

Dr. Jane Goodall, a name synonymous with compassion, courage, and dedication to the planet, spent her final weeks doing what she loved most — advocating for the environment, connecting with people worldwide, and spreading a message of hope.

In her last days, Dr. Jane spoke in cities across North America, including Toronto, Ottawa, Detroit, and Austin, rallying for urgent climate action. In New York City, she called for swift and meaningful steps to combat climate change, while in Mexico City and Los Angeles, she met with supporters and encouraged global unity in the face of environmental crises. Her influence reached young changemakers in Chicago, igniting passion and inspiring action in the next generation.

Despite the years of tireless work, Dr. Jane often said that youth were her greatest reason for hope. She truly believed in their power to change the world. In fact, she was scheduled to speak with children about Roots & Shoots on October 1st, the very morning after she passed peacefully in her sleep. Her unwavering belief in the potential of youth and her commitment to nurturing them was evident until the very end.

Dr. Jane’s passion for our planet and all of its inhabitants never wavered. She dedicated her life to the protection of wildlife, the preservation of ecosystems, and the empowerment of individuals to make a difference. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, wisdom, and love for the natural world.

As we continue her mission, we hold close the words she shared with the world:

“Every individual matters.
Every individual has a role to play.
Every individual makes a difference.”
— Dr. Jane Goodall

Thank you, Dr. Jane, for teaching us how to care — and how to hope. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who carry your message forward.
